食品夥伴網訊 2021年12月9日,據歐盟食品安全局(EFSA)消息,應歐盟委員會要求,歐盟動物飼料添加劑和產品(FEEDAP)研究小組就谷氨酸棒桿菌KCCM 80185生產的L-異亮氨酸(l-isoleucine)作為所有動物飼料添加劑的安全性和有效性發表科學意見。
經過評估,專家小組認為在擬議的使用條件下,該添加劑對目標物種、消費者和環境是安全的。評估中的添加劑被認為是非反芻動物物種氨基酸L-異亮氨酸的有效來源。為了使補充的L-異亮氨酸對反芻動物和非反芻動物同樣有效,需要防止其在瘤胃中降解。部分原文報道如下:
Following a request from the European Commission, the Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed (FEEDAP) was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of a feed additive co
nsisting of l-isoleucine produced by Corynebacterium glutamicum KCCM 80185 when used as a nutritio
nal additive in feed and water for drinking for all animal species. The production strain is genetically modified, does not carry acquired antimicrobial resistance genes and no viable cells of the production strain were detected in the final product. The FEEDAP Panel could not exclude the presence of recombinant DNA from the production strain in the product. However, since no sequences of co
ncern remain in the final production strain, the potential presence of recombinant DNA in the final product does not raise any safety concerns. The Panel co
ncluded that the additive is safe for the target species, for the co
nsumer and for the enviro
nment under the proposed co
nditions of use. Regarding the use in water, the FEEDAP Panel reiterated its co
ncerns over the safety of l-isoleucine administered simultaneously via water for drinking and feed owing to the risk of nutritio
nal imbalances and hygienic reasons. The FEEDAP Panel co
ncluded that l-isoleucine produced by C. glutamicum KCCM 80185 is co
nsidered not toxic by inhalation, not irritant to skin or eyes and not a dermal sensitiser. However, due to the high dusting potential, exposure to dust per se might be a hazard for the user. l-Isoleucine produced by C. glutamicum KCCM 80185 is co
nsidered as an efficacious source of the essential amino acid l-isoleucine for non-ruminant animal species. For the supplemental l-isoleucine to be as efficacious in ruminants as in non-ruminant species, it would require protection against degradation in the rumen.
