    食品夥伴網訊  2021年12月22日,據歐盟食品安全局(EFSA)消息,歐盟營養、新型食品和食物過敏源(NDA)研究小組就薑黃中的四氫薑黃素(tetrahydrocurcuminoids)作為新型食品的安全性發表科學意見。

 
  經過評估,專家小組得出結論,薑黃中的四氫薑黃素作為新型食品在140mg/d時對目標人群是安全的。部分原文報道如下:
 
  Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Nutrition, Novel Foods and Food Allergens (NDA) was asked to deliver an opinion on tetrahydrocurcuminoids from turmeric (Curcuma lo nga L.) as a novel food (NF) pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2015/2283. Tetrahydrocurcuminoids are derivatives of curcuminoids, produced chemically by hydrogenation of curcuminoids extracted from the rhizomes of C. lo nga L. The NF co nsists of more than 95% of tetrahydrocurcuminoids. The applicant proposed to use the NF in food supplements at a maximum dose of 300 mg/day for adults excluding pregnant and lactating women. Taking into account the composition of the NF and the proposed co nditions of use, co nsumption of the NF is not nutritio nally disadvantageous. There are no co ncerns regarding genotoxicity of the NF. ba sed on a 90-day oral toxicity study and a reproduction/developmental toxicity screening test performed with the NF, the Panel derives a safe level of 2 mg/kg body weight per day. For the target population this level correspo nds to 140 mg/day, which is lower than the use level as proposed by the applicant. The Panel co ncludes that the NF, tetrahydrocurcuminoids from turmeric (C. lo nga L.), is safe for the target population at 140 mg/day.
